I’ve been a little obsessed lately with searching for yellow wood sorrel. I know that foraging along sidewalks and slightly trespassing my neighbors’ yards sounds crazy - but it’s so worth it. Friends display confused/horrified face when they witness me squeal with delight at the sight of the lovely greens. Yes, they are “weeds” but once you set aside judgement and give them a taste, I promise it will change your mind. If you love sour flavors, you’ll get a kick out of sorrel. Its tiny leaves pack in huge lemonade-like flavor. Love, love, love it. The sorrel in the photo was found and happily consumed in Brooklyn Botanical Garden.
